Artist John Zacharias
John Zacharias , was born and raised on the Prairies and is a long time resident of Alberta. After 20 years in graphic design he started painting and experimenting with different subjects using specially watercolor, which in his opinion “allows him the control of flowing and soft blends” and then he goes a step further by detailing his subjects as some acrylic and oil painters do.
Zacharias has enjoyed sold out shows and was awarded “Collectors Choice “ at a major show in Alberta. Among his awards are Best Of Show’ at the Calgary Stampede Western Art Show and ‘Best Watercolor” in the Artessential show in Calgary. His paintings are collected throughout the world.
