Dean Morrissey resides in Massachucetts. Since 1991 Morrissey has published many beautifully illustrated books; among them Ship of Dreams. This book won numerous awards, including The New YorK Times “Ten Best Illustrated Books” of 1994. Morrissey’s second book, The Great Kettles, has won awards too, including a gold medal from The Society of Illustrators. Among other acomplishments that this artist has achieved are The Society of Illustrators Gold Medal for The Great Kettles, The Chesley Award for The Light Ship (2002).
