Carol and Rollie LaMarche of Picture This presenting cheque to Dr Hundelby, director of the Arts in Medicine program.
Picture This is proud to support organizations that are using art in a unique way to make a difference in people’s lives. One organization we are currently working with is the Arts in Medicine Program, directed by Dr. Marilyn Hundleby at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta. Together, Picture This, with the participating artists of the annual Masterpieces in Miniature art show are donating $5500. Of this amount $1000 is being donated by Bill Phillip’s Transformation.com on behalf of Rollie LaMarche, president of Picture This, who recently won as a runners-up in the Transformation Challenge.
“There isn’t a family we know that hasn’t been touched by cancer including the families of artists ” says Rollie LaMarche “ we are really pleased by the generosity of the artists and being able to help with this much needed program.” The Arts in Medicine Program is a program that is helping cancer patients create art as part of their healing process. The funds will be used to purchase art supplies, materials and teachers for this program. We will feature an article to tell you more about the Arts in Medicine program in an upcoming blog!
